1,000+ jobs created in Winder, Canton

UNDATED - Several hundred people are starting work this week at a new shopping center in Winder and more than a thousand are punching the clock as another new shopping center opens in Canton.

Barrow Crossing in Winder is home to a Target, Belk and other stores.

Canton Marketplace is even bigger and will employe more than 1,000 people.

Cherokee County Chamber of Commerce President Pam Carnes tells Georgia News Network that, as you might expect, the stores that are opening in Canton were inundated with job applicants.
