DAHLONEGA - Rite Aid, whose Dahlonega store has been closed because of a fire Monday, has set up a temporary pharmacy in a heated tent in the parking lot of the store.

Prescriptions are being filled at the Rite Aid in Dawsonville and shuttled back to Dahlonega for patient pickup or delivery to their homes. The Rite Aid is also being pressed into service.

Hours of operation are expected to be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the tent until a trailer that will serve as a temporary pharmacy can be set up on the site.

Customers can pay with cash or credit cards, the same as if they were conducting business in the store.

New prescriptions are being accepted, and customers can pick up previously ordered prescriptions. Prescriptions can be called into the regular Dahlonega store number â
