Rabid cat found in N. Hall

GAINESVILLE - Hall County has its third confirmed case of rabies and this one involved a rabid cat that came in contact with two people.

The latest incident occurred in the Thompson Bridge Road area on February 11. Confirmation that the cat had rabies came Tuesday from the Georgia Public Health lab in Decatur.

It is the 45th confirmed case of rabies since the epidemic in Hall County began early last year.
