GFUMC to host 8th Annual Basketball Tournament

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville First United Methodist Church (GFUMC) will host the 8th Annual MAC Madness Basketball Tournament Monday, February 23 through Saturday, March 14, 2009 at the church on Thompson Bridge Road in Gainesville. Last year more than 60 teams of boys and girls participated. <br /> <br /> Over 1,000 players, coaches, family and friends are expected to enjoy the tournament held at GFUMC in the area known as the GREAT Room. The tournament is chaired by Vicki Bailey, Interim Director of Recreation, and coordinated by the Recreation Council. <br /> <br /> This tournament means a great deal to the church and reflects our commitment to community outreach.
