History Center receives national film award

GAINESVILLE - The Northeast Georgia History Center recently was presented its first-place Pegasus Award for a documentary film - produced by a Gainesville company - that is part of an exhibit honoring the life and golf career of Masters Champion Tommy Aaron of Gainesville.

The presentation of the Pegasus Award of Excellence for 2008 was made by John Vardeman, president of Morton Vardeman & Carlson, during the January 15 annual meeting of the History Centerâ
