The statewide totals, as of 6:00 Monday morning: 2,167 accidents; 503 injuries; and, 12 fatalities.
For Troop B, which covers northeast Georgia: 147 accidents; 30 injuries; no fatalities.
The 78-hour counting period began at 6:00 Thursday evening and continued until midnight Sunday.
Last year, during a 102-hour Christmas holiday weekend, Georgia recorded 24 traffic fatalities.
