Two in custody after Barrow Co. kidnapping

UNDATED - Two men are in custody on charges that they kidnapped a Gwinnett County man from his Barrow County work place last Wednesday.

Barrow County Sheriff's Investigator Matt Guthas said authorities found the victim unharmed within 24 hours of his kidnapping Dec. 16.

"We do have two individuals in custody, and they have been charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment, terroristic threats and acts and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime," said Guthas.

Guthas said 26-year-old Antonio Alvarez and 38-year-old Alejandro Hernandez, both of Gwinnett County, are currently being held at the Barrow County Detention Center. The name of the victim has not been released.

The Barrow County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are still investigating the incident.
