Sheriff's department spokesman Jeff Strickland said Thursday that Jonathan Jackson is suffering from some soreness as a result of the crash which occurred near Oakwood.
A section of I-985 that was closed for more than an hour because of the accident. Col. Strickland said Jackson lost control of his patrol car on wet pavement and it overturned several times.
Both northbound lanes were shut down north of Exit 12 because of a wreck near Exit 16 involving a Hall County Sheriff's Office patrol car
