A Downtown Open House is planned during regular business hours Friday and Saturday in Gainesville carriage rides and much more and Santa on Saturday; the Banks County Christmas Festival is Friday and Saturday in Homer, each day from 9:00-5:00, with the Christmas parade at 12:00 on Saturday; and, a Flowery Branch Christmas will be celebrated Saturday afternoon starting with a parade at 1:00 and continuing until 4:00. Santa will be at the Depot in Flowery Branch all afternoon.
Also... Suwanee and Sugar Hill kick off the holidays with special events Saturday night, Suwanee at 5:00 with the Old Time Holiday Festival and Caboose Lighting and while in Sugar Hill, the festivies will run from 5:30 until 8:30; Habersham County's annual Christmas parade is Saturday at 5:00; and Sunday night, it's Christmas On Green Street in Gainesville from 5:00-7:00.
