Public comment sought for Forsyth Co. waste plan

CUMMING - Forsyth County citizens will have an opportunity in coming months to comment on the county's proposed updates to the Forsyth County Waste Management Plan.

The plan outlines a course of action for county officials dealing with garbage and recycling management in Forsyth County for the next decade.

"The Solid Waste Management Plan identifies the significant solid waste management
trends and challenges in the county and identifies a series of needs and program goals to address those challenges," said Director of Environmental Programs Tammy Wright.

The meetings are scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Dec. 14 at the Forsyth County Public Safety Complex and 6:30 p.m., Jan. 14 at the Forsyth County Administration Building.
