Two named to run driver's license offices

ATLANTA - There are new district managers for the state Department of Driver Services offices in northeast and northwest Georgia, according to Greg Dozier, Commissioner of the state Department of Driver Services.

Jeffery Parker, a Habersham County resident, has been tapped to run the office overseeing the driver's license offices in Gainesville, Cumming, Lawrenceville and Toccoa.

Shelia Miracle, who lives in Dalton, will be in charge of the offices that serves Blairsville, Blue Ridge, Calhoun, Canton, Cartersville, Dalton, Rock Spring and Rome.

Miracle She began her public service in 1988 as a radio operator for the Department of Public Safety (DPS). She became a driver examiner in 1989. Sheila later became a Supervisor at the Dalton driver's license center where she has most recently served as Manager for the past nine years.

Parker began his public service in 1998 as a driver examiner in Marietta. He transferred to the Gainesville center in 1999. In Gainesville, Jeffery served as supervisor and was then named manager in 2006.
