TAMPA, Fla. (Nov. 22, 2009-This week's Fuel Price Brief from Triple-A Auto Club South shows that Georgians are paying an average of $2.50 for a gallon of regular unleaded gasoline.

Gregg Laskoski with Triple-A says aside from any significant drop in the dollar, there is little on the horizon that is likely to push crude prices at this point. Crude oil closed on Friday at $76.72 per barrel, just 37 cents above
last week's closing

According to Laskoski, "In five of the last seven years, the national average price of gasoline has declined during Thanksgiving week and one week it remained unchanged,". â
