Girls basketball: Pickens holds off Armuchee

JASPER - The Pickens County girls basketball team remained unbeaten in the early going after beating Armuchee 43-36 Friday night.

Jazmine Goss led Pickens with 15 points. Jordyn Hammontree added 11 points and Lindsey Hammontree had seven for the Lady Dragons.

Sarah Barnett lead Armuchee with nine points.

Pickens (2-0) next will play Gilmer Monday in the ETC Tournament at Fannin County in Blue Ridge.
