Ida's strong winds to continue today

UNDATED - The rains are about done with as the lingering effects of Ida constinue across north Georgia but the wind may continue to be a problem today.<br />

Strong winds sent trees toppling in many places yesterday, pulling down powerlines in the process and resulting in widespread power outages.<br />
<br />
Top wind gust at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport in Gainesville has been 39 miles-an-hour since what's left of the hurricane began affecting weather in north Georgia.<br />
<br />
Rainfall has include 3.73 inches in Gainesville; 3.67 in Clarkesville; and, 5.23 inche sin Cumming. <br />
