Seagraves was 9-of-10 for 172 yards passing and three touchdowns and ran for another 40 yards and a score to lead a resurgent White County team.
The Warriors (6-3, 3-2 in subregion) have played themselves back into playoff contention with their third straight win. They will need a win next week over Gilmer coupled with a Creekview loss to Chestatee to force a three-way tie for the final spot in Region 7-AAA.
White County coach Greg Seagraves said he is proud of how his team has battled its way back into the playoff hunt but knows it is not over yet.
"The kids know our situation and I thought they came out tonight really ready to play," Seagraves said. "We did a good job of getting a fast start and then kept it going."
The Warriors opened with a 21-7 first quarter and then blew the game open with a 21-point second quarter and a 42-7 lead.
Ashley Lowrey also had a big game for the Warriors with 114 yards rushing and two touchdowns. Lowrey also had a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown that helped spark the second quarter run.
Tyler Dotson had 65 yards rushing and receiving, including one TD catch. Cam Seagraves had a TD catch and Ethan McAllister had a 40-yard TD catch for White County.
But while the offense was doing its part, the defense was equally to the challenge holding the Dragons scoreless over the final three quarters.
