Shaw selected for GACA All-Star game

FLOWERY BRANCH -- Flowery Branch quarterback Connor Shaw has been selected to play in the GACA North/South All Star football game on Dec. 29 in Columbus.

The senior has led the Falcons to a 7-2 record so far this season, 4-0 in Region 7B-AAA, sealing a spot in the state playoffs for the fifth straight time for the school.

Shaw, who is committed to play for the University of South Carolina, has thrown for 1,999 yards and 24 touchdowns so far this season and rushed for 583 yards and 10 scores.

The Falcons will cap their regular season next week in a subregion showdown with No. 1 ranked Gainesville in Flowery Branch. The Falcons have a bye this week.
