FLOWERY BRANCH - Transportation in fast-growing Flowery Branch was on the agenda at a public hearing in Flowery Branch Thursday night.

With a grant from the Gainesville-Hall Metropolitan Planning Organization, Flowery Branch has hired Pond & Company to study transportation issues within the downtown area.

The study is focusing on such things as as roadway widths, one-way road pairings, traffic safety improvements and pedestrians and bicycles. On-street parking, marina access and access to I-985 from McEver Road are also being explored.
