One dead in Jackson County wreck

JACKSON COUNTY - One person has died in an early morning wreck between a motorcyle and a car on Highway 53 at Legree Duck Road just north of I-85. Authorities say the accident happened just after 6:00 a.m. Friday.

The identity of the victim has not been released at this time, although Jackson County authorities say the person was a woman who appeared to be in her 30's.

The accident remains under investigation.
