Volleyball: East Hall rallies for split in Area 7-AAA matches

RABBITTOWN - The East Hall girls volleyball team fell victim to one rally and then rallied for a win of its own in Area 7-AAA action Tuesday night.

The Lady Vikings started strong against Pickens winning the first game 25-20 but then dropped the next games 25-19, 25-23 to snap a three-match win streak.

East hall turned the tables in the second match rallying to beat Johnson 19-25, 25-11, 25-20.

Maricela Castillo led Eeast Hall with 18 points scored on serve, two aces, 11 kills and 11 digs. Stormy Hornsby had 16 points scored on serve with five aces, 17 kills, five asssists and 14 digs while Ashleigh Baugh had 14 points scored on serve with one ace, seven kills, six assists and 10 digs for the Lady Vikings.

Hannah Hix had eight points scored on serve with one ace, nien kills, six digs, and a whopping 27 assists while Courtney Bivens had 6 six points scored on serve with two aces, five kills, three assists and 10 digs fore East Hall. Chelsea Nyampaguma had five points scored on serve with two aces, five digs and two2 blocks and Jennifer Jordan came off of the bench to score seven points on serve with three aces.

The Area 7-AAA tournament begins Thursday at Johnson and Flowery Branch at 4 p.m.
