The Wolves (4-1, 2-1 in region) led just 7-0 on a 9-yard TD pass from quarterback Alex Ross to Andrew Swope in the second quarter. Ross then got going in the third quarter going 9-for-9 for 141 yards in the second half to spark the late offensive explosion.
Ross finished 14-for-17 for 186 yards. Rick LeGrant led Buford onthe ground with 84 yards on just three acrries, including a 47-yard TD run. Eric Barr had 55 yards and scored three times for the Wolves.
Backup quarterback Sam Clay connected on a 25-yard TD pass to T.J. Shipes.
The Wolves finished with their most balanced offesnive game of the season rushing for 222 yards and passing for 209 yards for the game.
The Buford defense pitched its second straight shutout holding Avondale (3-2, 1-1) to just 104 yards of total offense.
