Frost greets early risers Sunday

UNDATED - Yes, that was frost in some places in northeast Georgia Sunday morning. And, if you think it is a bit early in the fall for frost in Georgia, you are right.

Except in the mountain areas, the first frost usually doesn't arrive in north Georgia until closer to the end of October... sometimes it's as late as Thanksgiving.

Another cold night is in store Sunday night across north Georgia and a freeze warning has been posted for most of north and central Georgia for early Monday. (See separate story.)
