Among the highest rates in our area: Barrow County, 8.7 percent; Dawson, 8.2; and Lumpkin, 10.1.
Among the lowest: Banks, 5.8 percent; Forsyth, 6.3; and Gwinnett, 6.9.
As we reported last week, the state jobless rate has hit a 26-year high... 8.1 percent.
