Atlanta Highway robbery

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Police are investigating a robbery was this afternoon at an Atlanta Road business.

The robbery occurred just after 12:30 p.m. at the business of Star Package located at 1506 Atlanta Highway, where the Crime Scene unit was on the scene collecting evidence.

Gainesville and Hall County patrol cars were cruising Atlanta Highway, hoping to spot suspects that fit the description of the robbers.

The victims in the incident, the owner of the business, an employee and a customer, reported that the suspects entered the business, brandished firearms and demanded money from the business' cash register and the occupants. After the victims complied with the demands, the suspects left with an undetermined amount of cash. The suspects are believed to driving an older model red Chevrolet Astro Van travelling away from town.

The suspects are described as follows:

1. Hispanic Male wearing a black leather jacket with stripes and blue jeans.
He was armed with a handgun.
2. Hispanic Female wearing a white long sleeve shirt with tie type tassels in
the front and a brown baseball hat.
3. Hispanic Male wearing a long leather jacket and blue jeans. He was armed
with a handgun.

All three are believed to be in their mid-twenties.

There were no injuries reported. The case remains under investigation by the Gainesville Police Department's Criminal Investigations Division. Anyone with information is requested to contact the Gainesville Police.
