Layoffs at Liberty Mutual?

Rumored layoffs at the Gainesville office of Liberty Mutual, but the corporate office won't confirm or deny those rumors.

Adrianne Kaufmann,public relations consultant with Liberty Mutual, issued the following statement Thursday afternoon.

"Liberty Mutual constantly monitors business conditions and aligns staffing levels accordingly in response to changing business environments and the need to service our customers. Beyond that, we will not comment on personnel matters."

Kaufmann said the Gainesville office will remain open, but again, would not discuss possible layoffs.
