Hall County Sheriff's Col. Jeff Strickland said that Obiel Pineda-Pardo was on trusty status and performed inmate labor at the Hall County Jail. He was allowed to take trash to a dumpster on Friday and never returned.
"It is important to note that the inmate did not escape from the secure facility," said Strickland. "He walked away from a work detail on the exterior of the facility."
Strickland said that Pineda-Pardo was being held on drug charges and was under an immigration hold. He is not considered dangerous, according to authorities.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Pardo is requested to contact the Hall County Sheriff's Office at 770-531-6905. A $2,500 reward is being offered to anyone providing information leading to his arrest
