Hall furlough day Tuesday

GAINESVILLE - Monday is the final day of a long holiday weekend for most government employees in the state but Hall County employees will have one more day off.

However, they won't get paid for it.

Tuesday will be the latest of a number of scheduled unpaid furloughs as the Hall County Commissioners work around a budget shortfall.

The first wast last October, on Halloween. One a month is scheduled at least through the remainder of the fiscal year which ends June 30.
