UNDATED - The Polar Express arrived in north Georgia overnight as temperatures plummeted overnight, reaching the single-digits in some mountain areas and low- to mid-teens in other places.

With temperatures only expected to reach freezing or barely above in most places, for anyone who will be spending any time outdoors today, the word is to dress in layers. In addition, health officials and others caution that even if you don't usually spend a lot of time during the day outside, you need to be prepared in case you unexpectedly have to... in case your car stalls or you have an accident.

Temperatures tonight are expected to fall back into the mid-teens with very little warming tomorrow and Sunday and into Monday. Rain and possibly some snow are in the forecast for Sunday.
