NORMAN, Okla. -- Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford is returning to Oklahoma for his junior season.

Bradford announced Wednesday afternoon that he would not enter the NFL draft. The record-breaking quarterback led the Sooners to the BCS championship game this season. They lost 24-14 to Florida.

Bradford led the nation with 50 touchdown passes and a quarterback rating of over 180, and he likely would have been one of the top quarterbacks taken in this year's NFL draft.

Instead, Bradford will take another run at a national championship with Oklahoma.

Bradford, a third-year sophomore, already holds numerous Oklahoma records, including the career mark for touchdown passes and most yards passing in a season.
