Dr. H.E. "Herb" Valentine, Jr., died Tuesday at his home.
Dr. Valentine was a former Chief of Staff at Hall County Hospital, now Northeast Georgia Medical Center and former President of the Hall County Medical Society.
A member of the Georgia and American medical associations, Dr. Valentine had also been active in the Kiwanis Club of Gainesville, the Gainesville Touchdown Club, and the Gainesville Girls Club.
In 1965, he was chosen Gainesville Civitan "Man of the Year."
Dr. Herb Valentine was 91.
