Softball: Rogers sets new North Hall strikeout record

UNDATED - North Hall's Megan Rogers set a new single-season school strikeout record Thursday in a 12-0 win over Johnson in Region 7-AAA action.

Rogers now has 164 strike outs in 101 innings pitched this season. She also tossed a perfect game in the win as the Lady Trojans improved to 12-10-1 overall and 7-4 in region play.

Hannah Stevens was the offensive leader going 3-for-3 with one RBI and two stolen bases. Brittany Smith had two hits and four RBI and Kelsey Gibbs had two hits and one RBI for North Hall.

Rogers, Danielle Newbern, Madison Savage and Mallory Rich each had one hit for the Lady Trojans.

North Hall next will travel to West Hall on Tuesday. The Lady Spartans lead their subregion will just one region loss to unbeaten Creekview.
