Creekview (0-2) took its first lead of the game, 18-17, with just under two minutes on a touchdown to cap a late drive.
The Falcons (2-1) got the ball back with 1:46 left and moved the ball to the Creekview 5 to set up Monday's game-winning kick.
"It was a great finish and this is the kind of game that could give us a lot of confidence the rest of the season," Flowery Branch coach Lee Shaw said. "It was a hard-hitting game."
The two defenses forced six turnovers - four by Flowery Branch. The Falcons defense stopped Creekview on downs with a goalline stand inside the 1-yard line.
Flowery Branch got off to a quick start as senior Greg Palmer took the opening kickoff 65-yards for a touchdown and a 7-0 lead. The Falcons extended their lead to 10-0 on a 31-yard field goal by Monday and then 17-6 on a touchdown run by Daniel Drummond.
Creekview scored late in the first half to make it 17-12 and it stayed that way until the late fireworks.
Drummond finished with 97 yards on 13 carries to pace the Falcons.
