GAINESVILLE - The Longstreet Cancer Center recently announced the return of Jennifer Butler as a family nurse practitioner.

Butler earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega. She worked for Longstreet Cancer Center for six years as an oncology nurse and also was a part-time clinical instructor at NGCSU. After completing her MSN/FNP earlier this year, Butler returns to Longstreet Cancer Center as a family nurse practitioner.

She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Sigma Theta Tau International and is an OCN (oncology certified nurse).

Longstreet Cancer Center employs four oncologists and two nurse practitioners. In mid-September, LCC will move into its new 13,000-square-foot facility on the third floor at 705 Jesse Jewell Parkway in Gainesville. Among other features, the expanded space will include 29 chemotherapy chairs, each with its own television, a patient education center, simulated waterfall and conference room. LCC doctors also see patients at locations in Toccoa and Demorest.
