Toccoa Falls College welcomes new staff, faculty

TOCCOA FALLS - Toccoa Falls College recently announced the addition of new staff and faculty.

Cathy Doan has been named Director of Retention Services. She is originally from Waycross, Ga., and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a degree in Family Ministries. She is married to Nathan Doan, who is a Resident Director for Toccoa Falls College, and has a 16-month-old daughter. They have been working in Marion, Ohio for the last five years at Cornerstone Alliance Church, where Nate was a youth pastor.

Rob Worsley has been named Area Coordinator of the Men's Dorms. Worsley came to Toccoa Falls College in the early '90s after graduating from Dalat Missionary Kids School. While at Toccoa he played soccer and then went on to coach the first women's soccer team at TFC. In 1998 he married Lou Martin and moved to Minneapolis-St. Paul, where he worked in sales and coached boy's soccer. Worsley and his wife have two girls.

Dale Garside, Associate Professor of French and Spanish, is not a newcomer to Toccoa Falls College. Garside returns to Toccoa Falls from Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, Ga. Garside earned his doctoral degree in French literature from the University of Cincinnati and has 31 years of teaching experience. He is married and has one daughter.

Chris Vena has been a long-time resident of Toccoa. His father is a professor at the college and Vena is also a graduate. Vena has been a resident director for the past few years and is completing a doctoral degree in Bible and society from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. He received his master's of arts degree in Christian thought from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, Minn. He has also completed a summer program at Keble College of Oxford University in Oxford, England, studying the renaissance and reformation. Vena and his wife, Christy, have three children.
