JEFFERSON - The owner of a grease recycling plant in Jackson County says he has future plans for the site, despite losing an appeal to the state Supreme Court.

According to broadcast reports from Channel 2 Action News, Richard Harville plans to clean up the property where Agri-Cycle is located and use it for unspecified agricultural purposes.

A Supreme Court ruling last week upheld a lower court ruling that the plant, which was allegedly in violation of state environmental regulations, be closed. Harville has contended the actions were politically motivated and were driven by complaints from nearby residents about non-toxic odors from the plant.
