Hall County native living out dream on Atlanta airwaves

ATLANTA - Brandon Adams fondly remembers riding in Little League parades through the Gainesville city square, just like he remembers the Johnson vs. Gainesville High gridiron rivalry and the havoc that East Hall's Chezley Watson used to wreak on Lanierland courts.

"I'm a huge sports fan, and I always wanted to do something with sports," said Adams, 31, a Hall County native who graduated from Johnson High in 1995.

And though it took him longer than he wanted, Adams is now living out that dream every day as a daytime sports talk show host on Atlanta's WQXI AM 790 The Zone.

Adams, along with co-host Jeff Woolverton, anchors 790's "Brandon and Woolvey" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday-Friday, hashing out the latest in local and national sports topics.

It's a long way from the hallways and classrooms of Johnson High, where Adams said he cultivated his love of talking sports
