GAINESVILLE - Marina Bay on Lake Lanier, a resort-style residential community on the northern shores of Lake Lanier off Cool Springs Road in North Hall, announces its first Concert in the Park at the community's Horseshoe Park on June 28.

The Saturday evening concert will feature music by Mid Life Crisis, a classic and Southern rock band made of well-known Gainesville professionals moonlighting as rockers. Comprised of local doctors, a teacher, a grocer, a chef, a carpenter and an accountant, the group is led by popular singer/songwriter Allen Nivens.

Others in the lineup include Ron Bracewell, Henry Troutman, Michele Alexander, Dr. Mike Gottsman, Dr. Bill Hallowes, Ed Waller, Karl Reising and Holt Harrison.

Gates open at 6 p.m. with the concert starting at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring a picnic basket, drinks, blankets or lawn chairs, then sit back and relax at this lakeside, family-oriented setting for a foot-tapping evening listening to their favorite rock ballads.

Tickets are $20 (children under 12 are free) and may be purchased at the gate. Proceeds from the concert benefit Eagle Ranch in Chestnut Mountain. Eagle Ranch is Northeast Georgia's largest residential counseling program for boys and girls.
