DNR requests funds for design of Hall Co. state park

SOCIAL CIRCLE - The Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is formally requesting state funding for the first state park in Hall County.
The DNR board this week adopted a resolution requesting nearly $2 million for the design of Don Carter State Park, which has been planned for a number of years.
Carter is a Gainesville businessman who served for more than 30 years on the DNR board.
