UNDATED - While it hasn't been reported in Hall County, there are places in northeast Georgia where the price of a gallon of regular gasoline now tops $4.

GasBuddy.com reports that, as of Sunday night, the price of a gallon of regular had topped the $4 mark at outlets in both Athens ($4.12) and Winder ($4.06). The lowest price in northeast Georgia: $3.77 in Toccoa.

In Gainesville, the highest price that was reported was $3.95; the lowest, $3.85.

The price for the highest grade reached the $4 plateau weeks ago in Gainesville. And just recently the price for mid-grade moved into that territory, as well.
