Suspects arrested in Gainesville electronics store robbery

GAINESVILLE - Gainesville Police have arrested two Gainesville men in connection with the robbery of an electronics store Friday morning.

Lt. Brian Kelly said 22-year-old Tracy Lipscomb and Don Duran Richardson, 21, were each charged with one count of armed robbery.

Kelly said the two suspects entered the business and began a discussion with the victim, Yeon Chung, who was working at Audio One on Jesse Jewell Parkway at the time.

"The victim reports that as he was speaking with the males, one of them sprayed him in the face with pepper spray and then both of the males took several hundred dollars worth of electronics equipment and left the location occupying a dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe," Kelly said.

He said the suspects were found Friday near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, where they were taken into custody.

Kelly said the amount of property stolen and its location is still under investigation.
