Fire Marshal Scott Cagle said he still doesn't know how the gas leak happened, but that an 8-inch line was leaking at the intersection of Dawsonville Highway and Sardis Road.
"That area right now is under heavy construction with the road widening project," Cagle said.
Atlanta Gas Light was on the scene working to repair the line.
