Edwards signs contract extension with Roush Fenway Racing

RICHMOND, Va. -- Carl Edwards has taken himself off the free agent market, agreeing to a contract extension that will keep him at Roush Fenway Racing.

"I'm staying with Roush," Edwards said Friday.

Edwards topped the list of free agents available at the end of the season but decided to stay behind the wheel of the No. 99 Ford after visiting with other teams. He said his extension was multiple years, but declined to be specific.
