Funeral for soldier who died in Iraq is Saturday

COMMERCE - The funeral for a soldier from Maysville, who died in combat in Iraq, will be held Saturday.<br /> <br /> SSG. Shaun J. Whitehead died while on foot patrol in Iskandariyah, Iraq. <br /> <br /> A native of Commerce, Whitehead was an Army infantryman, serving with a part of the 101st Airborne out of Ft. Campbell, Ky. He had been in the Army since 2003. <br /> <br /> The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Grove Level Baptist Church in Commerce.
