Tech's Johnson to match golf skills with other coaches

GREENSBORO, Ga. (AP) Tecks Paul Johnson will team with Virginia Tech's Frank Beamer as coaches and celebrity alumni try to win scholarship money for their schools in the Chick-fil-A Bowl Alma Mater at Reynolds Plantation.
Other notable teammates include new Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez and Alabama's Nick Saban. South Carolina's Steve Spurrier is paired with Colorado's Bill McCartney, and UCLA's Rick Neuheisel is paired with Jeff Jagodzinski of Boston College.
Former Georgia basketball coach Tubby Smith of Minnesota will compete in a pairing with Jim Grobe of Wake Forest.
Auburn coach Tommy Tuberville's celebrity partner is former Auburn quarterback and current Samford coach Pat Sullivan.
Thirteen teams are competing for a $350,000 purse, including $100,000 to the scholarship funds of the winning team's school. BENNETT-LOUISIANA TECH
