Clemson routs Virginia Tech

CLEMSON, S.C. -- Wilson Boyd went 2-for-4 with a home run and four RBIs to lead Clemson past Virginia Tech 13-5 in Atlantic Coast Conference action.

The Tigers (22-20-1) jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first thanks to Boyd's three-run homer. Ben Paulsen and Kyle Parker also had home runs for Clemson.

Starter Graham Stoneburner gave up five hits in five innings and struck out four for the win.

Rhett Ballard gave up five runs and five hits in four innings to take the loss.

Sean O'Brien went 3-for-5 with a homer and two RBIs to lead the Hokies (18-24). Steve Bumbry also had a home run for Virginia Tech.

Both teams had 10 hits.
