Tennis: JHS boys fall to Dunwoody in first round (4/23)

OAKWOOD - The Johnson boys tennis team dropped a tough 3-2 opening round match to Dunwoody Wednesday in the Class AAA Tournament.

The Knights got wins from Seth Hester at No. 1 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 victory and Brandon Sloan at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win.

But Dunwoody was able to get a win at No. 3 singles and then swept the doubles play to pull out the match.

Hester completed his year undefeated in region play with a 14-0 record. Sloan lost just one match all season and finished 13-1 in region play.

The Knights finished the season with a record of 16-5 and as Region 7-AAA champs.
