ATHENS -- Winthrop (13-19) took a 2-0 lead in the second inning on an RBI double by Bryn Henderson and a run-scoring single by Bennett Jordan off Georgia freshman Justin Grimm (0-1).

The Eagles made it 5-0 in the third. Kevin Nolan doubled and scored on a single by Eddie Rohan. Brunetti then connected for his first home run.
Georgia (20-11) scored its only run in the bottom of the third on an RBI single by Matt Olson.
