BOWLING GREEN, KENTUCKY - Western Kentucky coach Darrin Horn, who led the Hilltoppers on a nice run in the NCAA tournament, will interview for the job at South Carolina.

Horn told WKU athletic director Wood Selig that he has been approached by the Gamecocks about the coaching vacancy left by Dave Odom's retirement. Selig said South Carolina athletic director Eric Hyman also left him a voice mail inquiring about Horn.

The 35-year-old Horn guided the Hilltoppers (29-7) to the Sun Belt Conference title this season and a spot in the West Regional semifinals, where they lost to top-seeded UCLA 88-78 Thursday night.

Horn is 111-48 in five seasons at his alma mater. He has three years remaining on his contract, which includes a buyout of $157,000 per year for each year bought out, as well as a provision that would require Horn's new school to play four games against the Hilltoppers in the future.

South Carolina went 14-18 this season, including a 5-11 mark in the Southeastern Conference.
