The first half was defined by aggressive defense from both teams. The Class AAA seventh-ranked Lady Trojans did not allow a Chestatee shot on goal while firing 11 shots on goal, but the Lady War Eagles limited North Hall to only one goal. At 31:03, Allie Wright launched a corner kick that was headed in by Tess Patton for the only score of the first half.
It stayed that way until the 30 minute mark when Patton crossed a pass to Sarah Carlton, who drilled shot high into the net for a 2-0 lead. later in the half Wright placed another perfect corner kick into the box and Bradee Burrell headed the ball in for a 3-0 lead.
The game broke open at the six minute mark when Patton sent a put through pass to Burrell at midfield for a 40 yard break away goal and a commanding 4-0 lead.
One minute later, Carlton chipped a pass down the middle that Patton ran onto for the final goal to seal the shutout victory at 5-0.
North Hall (9-0-1, 7-0 in region) defense allowed only two shots on goal in recording its eighth shutout of the season.
The Lady Trojans also received significant contributions from Meredith Clark and Elizabeth Williams.
Chestatee goal keeper Sarah Brothers recorded six saves in the goal.
The Lady War Eagles received outstanding performances from Megan Fligg and Lindsey Sapp.
North Hall will play host to at East Hall on Saturday at 2 p.m.
Chestatee (7-7, 4-2 Region 7-AAA) next will travel to West Forsyth on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
