Baseball: Falcons rout Pickens in 7-AAA (3/26)

FLOWERY BRANCH - Flowery Branch pounded out 12 hits in taking a 15-5 win over Pickens in five innings Wednesday in a key Region 7-AAA game.

Cody Ackerman and Danny Price combined for four hits and four RBI to lead the Falcons offense. Cameron Wilson had a hit and two RBI for Flowery Branch (9-2, 5-2 in region).

Matt Pilgrim got the win for the Falcons going the distance allowing 10 hits and striking out five.

The Falcons got going early scoring seven runs in the first innings. They added two runs in the third, five in the fourth and one in the fifth.

Pickens (2-9, 2-5) scored two runs in the third and three in the fifth.
