Beckham's homers lead Georgia over Tennessee

ATHENS, Ga. - Gordon Beckham hit two homers and Georgia beat Tennessee 6-2 on Friday night, handing the Volunteers their first Southeastern Conference loss of the season.

Tennessee (13-6 overall, 3-1 SEC) scored an unearned run in the first inning off Georgia starter Trevor Holder (3-2). Beckham's two-run homer gave Georgia (11-7, 3-1) a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first.

Beckham led off the seventh inning with his second homer of the night and 13th
of the season.

Starter Steve Crnkovich (4-1) took the loss for Tennessee.
